100 th Sunday Celebration
Congratulations, International Praise Chapel!

Diving Acknowledgement

On this September 25 th day in the year 2005, we, the members, friends and families of International Praise Chapel rejoice exceedingly and give the utmost praise to God for seeing us through one hundred (100) Sundays since our inception.   All praise and glory, first goes to God, whose mighty hand has brought us to this milestone.   This might be small in people's eyes but for us we are grateful.   Ebenezer, this is how far God has brought us (1 Samuel 7:12) and we will not despise our humble beginnings or small things (Zechariah 4:10).

It became a standing household routine in church as we counted our Sundays! Well there are undertones that this counting process will virtually cease after our celebration, but in our hearts we will continue to count until Jesus comes.

Against all odds

When God called Pastor Alex out of the church he had pastored for nearly 4 years to begin an international church, little did he think that the transition would not be smooth.   Spiritual and physical attacks from all directions, enough to discourage anyone, rather spurred Pastor Alex on, against all odds , as God provided him with the strength and people he needed for this great work.

Bishop T.D. Jakes once said, 'when the Lord is about to bless and use you, your enemies who were at logger heads with each other, suddenly come together as friends against you.'   That was so true for Pastor Alex and the family of IPC but God has been good to them.   People predicted the demise of IPC in the first month, but it prospered!   Then a prediction of demise in the sixth month, but it thrived!! Then a prediction of demise in its first year, but there an anniversary was celebrated, pastor and 1 st Lady officially ordained by a Conference and the BOT inducted!!!   On and on and on to its 100 th Sunday - God has been faithful to IPC family and we are humbled by that.

Joseph said to his brothers, 'what you meant for evil, God meant for good to me' (Genesis 50:20).   In every way we see that God has turned to good every evil that men planned against His church and people.   IPC's vision of an international home is being fulfilled a day at a time.   Presently, there is a translation of French for the increasing French community in the church, and there are plans to start Spanish interpretation soon.   The international vision, by the grace of God, is being fulfilled and God has multiplied IPC significantly having started with only 4 people in a living room.

Greater Heights

We fully acknowledge the fact that we have many more grounds to cover but thankfully we are not where we started.   We are not resting on our oars, knowing very well that there are many more mountains to climb, many more battles to fight and many more victories to be won.   Our strength is in the name of our God (Psalm 124:8), and we shall prevail. We are no competitors in the Kingdom but rather companions!!!

Giants of the Land

Every great man, every great accomplishment, every success, is wrought through the hard work of men.   IPC has been blessed with a dynamic BOT (check our website for their complete biographies) who are working tirelessly with Pastor and 1 st Lady to achieve this great feat.   Dr. Mahop, Minister Hanson, Trustees Sam, Jones, La Toya and Curtis: may the good Lord richly bless you for all your hard work.   The Choir, Bible Study Leaders, Prayer Team, Women's Wing and Children's Group, your good work is recognized and will not go unrewarded on the last day!   You are the giants of the land and may God bless you all.

And to all those who have secretly and quietly borne us in your prayers; encouraged us and wished us well, may the God of our Breakthroughs (Baal Perazim) be your portion.

Come join us on Sunday, September 25, 2005, at 10.00am for a Thanksgiving Service, and at 1.00pm for an afternoon of celebration.   Don't forget to check new updates on our website ( www.internationalpraisechapel.org ).

God bless you all!!!
