REV. ALEX SACKEY-ANSAH

"And he dug another well and this time no one struggled with him over it."

                                              Genesis 26:22

Pastor Alex Sackey-Ansah is the last of three siblings.  Raised by a God- fearing grandmother and mother, the Lord called Pastor Alex under special circumstances. He became born again on April 22, 1981 and was baptized the same day in the Holy Ghost.

With many prophetic utterances on his life, there was no doubt that Pastor Alex would be used by God in raising a generation with a difference.  His life since that day in April 1981 has been one of inspiration, challenges and achievements.

Pastor Alex's spiritual resume is impeccable.  He held various leadership positions from high school through college and made his mark on the shores of West Africa.  He served as President of the Scripture Union, a Christian youth organization at the University Practice Secondary School (1983-1984) and at Adisadel College (1985-1986). At the tertiary level, he served as Prayer Secretary for the University Christian Fellowship in Commonwealth Hall (1988-1990), and then became the Vice President for the Legon Pentecostals’ Union (LPU), an amalgamation of Pentecostal students (1989-1990). He was elected as the President of LPU (1991-992).

During his youthful years, Pastor Alex served both as a Deacon on the Presbytery Board (1988-1990) and an Evangelistic Leader (1987-1990) of the Central Assembly of the Church of Pentecost in Cape Coast, Ghana. As a young minister, he served as a Supporting Pastor at Jesus Is Lord Outreach Ministries (JESILOM) in London (1993-1995) and an Assistant Pastor at Abundant Power Chapel in Accra, Ghana (1995-1997). He has embarked on indigenous and inner city missionary work on two continents. He has assisted with the planting of three churches and has revived two more in Africa, Europe and America.

With ministry burning in his heart, Pastor Alex attended one of the most recognized Christian colleges in the United States, Wheaton College's Billy Graham Graduate School, where he studied Missions, Bible Theology and Intercultural Studies as a Billy Graham Scholar. In May 1999, he was commissioned as a Missionary under the auspices of Pioneers-Africa and a year later ordained as a Pastor by a Pentecostal Institution. With proof of his fruitfulness in ministry, and specifically for successfully overseeing International Praise Chapel during its first year of inception, Pastor Alex and Minister Naomi were ordained by the Presiding Bishop and Credential Board of Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Conference, International, on November 07, 2004.

For the past five years, Pastor Alex has served as the Senior Pastor of International Praise Chapel with his wife, Naomi, and a 5-member Board of Trustees. Pastor Alex also serves as an affiliate pastor of the Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Conference and a member of the Credentials’ Board of the same conference. He is an adjunct professor at the Breakthrough Bible College, located in Temple Hills, MD.

Pastor Alex also holds a B.Sc. (Honors), an M.Phil., and an M.A. He recently graduated from the Carey Business School, at the John Hopkins University with an MBA (Finance) degree (2007).
Pastor Alex works as a Research & Financial Analyst and a Manager in Airtime Traffic & Sales operations at the Angel Christian Trust (GOD TV) in Washington, DC.
He and his wife, Minister Naomi, make their home in Clinton, MD, with their two lovely kids, Michelle and Shalom.
